Q: When can I begin my training?
You can begin the moment you receive your purchase confirmation. At the time of your purchase, you’ll create your log-in and personal password. You will receive your confirmation email within the hour after your purchase. Once you follow the link to your Educational Enhancement Dashboard, you can sign in and begin working towards your CASAC-T.
Q: Can I earn my CASAC 350 online in New York?
Yes. Educational Enhancement delivers the full 350 hours online, so you can train for your New York CASAC from home. Even the live instructor-led classes are delivered via video, so you never step on campus.
Q: Do I follow a fixed class schedule, or can I go at my own pace?
Both, by design. Half the program is self-paced online (Sections 1 and 4), and the other half is live, instructor-led (Sections 2 and 3), with morning and evening class options, so the scheduled part still flexes around your life.
Q: How fast can I finish and start working?
Most students complete the 350 hours in 5 to 8 months. As soon as you finish, you qualify for your CASAC-Trainee (CASAC-T) and can begin building the supervised experience that leads to full certification.
Q: Is this program actually OASAS-approved?
Yes. Educational Enhancement is an OASAS-approved provider (#0415) and has trained counselors since 2002. Your completed 350 hours count toward the New York State CASAC credential.
Q: What does it cost, and is there help paying for it?
Our training costs $ 4,750.00 in New York State. Payment plans and tuition assistance through WIOA, ACCESS-VR, and the NYS ITG program can help cover it.
Q: Do I get my CASAC as soon as I complete 350 hours of education and training?
No. You will not be a CASAC when you complete the 350-hour training. You will mail your certificate into OASAS and receive your CASAC- T. You will still have to complete 2 more steps for certification.

Q: Who is the CASAC 350 program right for?

Yes, of course, you can. You can complete the 60 renewal clock hours for renewal of your CASAC credential from the privacy of your own home, your favorite coffee shop, and even during downtime while you’re at work! CASAC renewal has never been so easy.

Q: What is CASAC 350 Hour HYBRID training?
Sections 1 and 4 of our training our entirely self-study and self-paced training. This means you can complete coursework in the time YOU allotted for studying.
In Sections 3 and 4, we added live virtual training seminars you must attend. These virtual training will only be held on Saturdays and Sundays, and the scheduled training calendar will be emailed to you as soon as you complete your purchase. The course content will be provided at this time, too.
We hope to add several sessions during the week to accommodate your busy schedules.

Q: Do I have to compete a certain amount of coursework before I can take virtual trainings?
No, you do not. You can begin taking the virtual training as soon as you register and purchase. If you register for the 350-Hour Hybrid training from Sunday to Friday evening, you can start your virtual training that Saturday.
Our virtual training is a stand-alone training. Instructor-led training will help you develop clinical skills and strengths while working online with your peers.
Q: Do I have to attend the virtual trainings as soon as I start or can I wait?
You can wait to take any of the virtual training. Our program still lets you control where and when you will study.
However, we feel that the sooner you begin the virtual sessions, the sooner you will get your 350-hour certificate. Getting this certificate means working in the field. After all, that is the goal.
But we also know you are busy, so it is okay if you miss a Saturday or Sunday session. You will be able to mark your progress on our program’s platform. We will also monitor progress and keep you up-to-date with what you need to complete the 350 hours training package.
